One of the pleasures of guiding is welcoming people back. The guest pictured here joined my very first tour and has returned many times since. Somewhere along the way, we became friends.
That’s how I like to approach a journey: getting to know the people travelling with me, listening to what interests them and sharing an Ireland I’m still exploring myself. There’s always another place to visit, another conversation to have and another story to reconsider.
Experience behind the welcome
I’m a qualified National Tour Guide and Dublin City & Environs guide, offering private walking tours and journeys in my own licensed chauffeur vehicle. I’ve also taught the National Tour Guiding Programme six times and managed and trained guides for a major Irish tour operator.
Research and teaching keep me curious. What matters on the day is knowing how to use that knowledge: when to tell a story, when to follow a question and when to let the landscape do the work.
